Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) - 38th anniversary at the National Theatre Hall

A colourful rally, led by Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General Liakat Ali Lucky, complete with singers and dancers, made its way through the academy precincts yesterday.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is celebrating its 38th anniversary at the National Theatre Hall, where a vibrant cultural programme is being held.

Following the encouraged address simply by Lucky, key guest from the programme, Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the two-day cultural plan consisting of 3 sessions.

Equally noted and also promising performers, dancer and also elocutionists with a variety of cultural companies from across the nation are taking component in the special event programme.

Experienced Bangladeshi dance experts -- Minu Haque, Zinat Barkatullah, Sultana Haidar, Selina Haque, Emi Rahman, Chaina Chowdhury, Melee Hossain, Dolly Iqbal, Nilufar Wahid and Laila Hasan started the early morning session using the Tagore song “Anandolokey Mongolalokey”. Following was a choral interpretation of tracks by kid artistes of Ranota Shilpi Goshthi as well as the underprivileged children of Surer Dhara. Boogie and songs performance focused the morning hours session.

Bangladesh Sangeet Sangathan Samannay Parishad rendered any mash-up of several devoted classics -- “O Amar Desh-er Mati”, “Eki Aparup Roop-e Mother Tomaye”, “Banglar Mukh Ami Dekhiachhi”, “Moder Garob Moder Asha”, “Amar Desh-er Matir Gondhey” and “Janmo Amar Dhonno Holo” in the event.

The crowd swayed towards the vibrant delivering presentations of folks songs simply by artistes of Government. Music School, while performers of Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Parishad, Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad offered choral renditions.

Music, boogie and elocution have been the shows of the night time session. The 3rd and final session from the celebration may kick off these days at Four pm in the same place.
